The Client

The Blade is a 128m striking landmark in Reading, Berkshire providing high quality office space with spectacular views. Opened in 2009, it offers an eco-friendly space using renewable energy with sustainable transport choices. To help ensure high occupancy rates and build strong links with the local business community The Blade was keen to embark on a structured approach to its PR and marketing communications.

The Brief

We support the team at The Blade with a wide range of marketing activities. To kick off, we undertook a review of the existing website, restructuring the content and menu to make it more engaging with the business community, existing and potential occupiers, as well as enabling it to better support information about news and events. We also helped create a persona for the building, establishing good connections with the local BID, reviewing all social media activity, creating a social media content schedule and initiating a quarterly digital newsletter. From a PR perspective we introduced The Blade to key media, and now run a regular press outreach campaign to share news about events, new occupiers and space availability. A series of case studies also helps tell the story of how The Blade is supporting businesses in the area to grow and succeed.

“Ben and Emma have been hugely impactful to our business. They have come up with all kinds of creative PR strategies and work hard to make the campaigns work. One of the main differences has been their demonstration of ROI with in-depth post-campaign analysis. They are always quick to respond to the big questions and the small. They also answer strange requests with positivity and enthusiasm. It’s always “Yes, we can do that, how do we make it work” rather than “You must be kidding me.”
