The 2013 Selsey Business Awards, sponsored by Recenseo, took place on Friday 10th January 2014 at a gala dinner. Over 120 people attended the ceremony for the presentation of the second annual awards for local businesses.
The awards had attracted plenty of interest again with over 75 businesses being nominated by more than 350 people in total. The big winner on the night was The Liquid Merchant, one of the newest businesses in Selsey, who scooped Best of the Best overall award, sponsored by Spofforths, and the best New Business award, sponsored by Evans Weir. Young Employee of the year, Sponsored by Natures Way was awarded to Jackson Clarke of Seales Butchers and Les Hilton of XL Graphics was the proud recipient of the Selsey Business Partnership special award for contribution to the business community.

Arranged by the Selsey Business Partnership (SBP), the awards were inaugurated in 2012 by SBP Chairman Roger Barrow and were run again in 2013 due to the success of the first year. With such an overwhelming response in 2013, we are sure the awards will return again in 2014, making them a regular event for the businesses of Selsey.
